Forest City Trading Group, LLC has always valued the importance of our relationship with carriers.  FCTG and our subsidiaries welcome the opportunity to explore business strategies and develop programs to support carrier initiatives such as forecasting of shipments, matching the correct carrier and load opportunity and providing data so carriers understand our role in the transportation system.

Our internal designed rail and truck rating system allow our traders access to transportation rates from origins to destinations within North America.  The movement of our products by rail, truck and vessel account for over 154,000 shipments during 2006.  FCTG established a TMS system for the monitoring of all rail shipments and dispatch for trucks.  Our goal to continually adapt to transportation changes enhances our subsidiaries' ability to ship product from over 1,200 origins to 2,800 destinations.

To support our distribution activity a reload management system was established to provide an overview of the facilities we utilize and to be sure operators are in compliance with our requirements.

Our import business requires an understanding of U.S. Customs laws and requirements. FCTG has established policies and practices guidelines to ensure compliance in this area.

FCTG provides transportation consulting and training internally to our subsidiaries and externally to suppliers, carriers and industry groups.
